@EssexPR Council tax goes up literally every year 😂. In the 14 years of the conservatives it rose by an average of 3% a year over that period. Also worth noting it is at the discretion of councils to increase it, not a central government decision but don���t let the truth get in the way

@rjhilton Inherited a stagnating, debt ridden economy with unfunded commitments. The choices are either more austerity which would no doubt be the death knell of the NHS or raise taxes to deal with the immediate challenges. Long term we have to try to stimulate proper economic growth again
