Maria Makgato was a 45 year old Black woman. She was searching for expired food dumped for pigs on a farm near Polokwane when she was shot and killed . Her body was thrown into a pigsty to be eaten by pigs .

UPDATE: BODY OF MISSING GIRL FOUND

The decomposed body of 11-year-old Athi Zimi Mnguni, previously reported missing at Ngqeleni SAPS on 30 August 2026, was found in the river of Nomcamba Locality, Zinduneni A/A in Ngqeleni, Eastern Cape, on Thursday, 24 September 2026.

The body was identified by her family as well as community members. Police investigations continue.

BREAKING: A body of a woman has been found partly clothed in Tembisa.
The woman was found at the Mooifontein Cemetery this morning.

This makes it the 10th woman found in that area. But a total of 11 in Gauteng in recent weeks
