I went for a walk and ran into a little free art gallery with tiny people! It has a take a tiny painting or leave a tiny painting policy!

It’s my first week with (some) students since MARCH!

A teacher's dying wish was for people to wear masks during the pandemic. 3 Cobb County, GA educators have died during COVID. At a school board meeting Thursday, 2 board members & the superintendent refused to wear masks even during a moment of silence. A staff member responds:

I wasn’t sure if my students were going to want to talk about what happened yesterday because many of them are so young.

They weren’t exactly sure how to talk about it, but 1st graders ask to share their feelings today.

Sad. Mad. Frustrated.

I’ve been thinking about how everything online feels so cold and stale. I never know if I come across too mean or too bland. I’m grateful to have students that can still sense my love and care for them even when we’re far away.

I’ve noticed more and more teachers complaining about headaches, most likely from being on a computer all day.

I’ve recently developed a fun little eye twitch.

I’m wondering how students are doing with their health related to screen time.

Vinny is a great TA

I added a sticker every time a student answered a question. They got to pick where the sticker went on my face. I heard from EVERY student in my virtual classroom 😍

Minnesota has reelected @IlhanMN! We look forward to continuing our work with Representative Omar on creating strong public schools for all of our students and educators! #edmnvotes #mnvotes #mnsen

I really miss having student artwork around me, so I took screenshots of student artwork and printed it. The photo quality isn’t amazing, but I get to be surrounded by my lil artists!

I am totally blown away by these beauties from Drawing 2 artists. These abstract works were all created during distance learning, completely with materials they had at home. They are gorgeous #CHSArt #ExperimentalMarkMaking @CoppellFineArts #CHSrelentless

Another positive: I haven’t lost a single pencil!

Here’s a positive to distance learning: no one has to be around my coffee breath
