A mourning dove started making a nest yesterday and students have been enthralled with it ever since. A group of friends chose to sit quietly on the tarmac today and watch during outdoor education. @LambethPS1 @TVDSBKinder

We’ve been up to so much fun in Outdoor Education this year! This week, nature magic wands. “Ms. Cunningham, you’ll like this one. There’s a cat and a heart.” This student used the paper punchers on the leaves to decorate their wand. @TVDSBKinder @LambethPS1

We’ve been talking about and identifying different birds in Outdoor Ed. We heard what sounded like a woodpecker and then we spotted it! @LambethPS1

What season is it?? With the high winds today we had leaves blowing everywhere! Some students decided that we should rake them and gather them in a bag. So we did! @LambethPS1

Wow! It felt like a Spring day in February.☀️ The shovels, rakes and buckets were a favourite today. We loved breaking up the ice and discovering water underneath. @LambethPS1

❄️ Finally a snowy day in Outdoor Ed! ❄️ Squeeze bottles filled with food colouring and multi-coloured ice cubes were quite popular today. @LambethPS1

We tried something new to stay dry today. Bet you didn’t expect an obstacle course when coming in or out of school. We truly got to see how hard our secretaries work all day long! @LambethPS1

It’s been busy and cold during Outdoor Education the past few weeks. We’ve been focusing on birds! Check out the homes and structures we’ve made for our birds. We have also hung our bird feeders with care. @LambethPS1

Two of our favourite centres today in Outdoor Education. Painting with water from the puddles on the yard and a new activity in the sensory wagon - using fancy scissors and paper punchers with leaves! 🍁✂️ @LambethPS1

Today in Outdoor Education we made nature bracelets. So simple with a piece of masking tape. They turned out beautifully! 🍂🍁 @LambethPS1 @TVDSBKinder

Our pumpkins were getting a little squishy so we decided to smash them! We then used them in the kitchen. “I’m making a pumpkin soup.” “This pumpkin is for a pie.” “I’m getting all of the seeds out to cook.” 🎃@LambethPS1 @TVDSBKinder
