Our members have spoken. It's time for @jeremycockrill and @SaskSchoolBoard to finally take this process and these issues seriously, and work with teachers in good faith to address the crisis occurring in Saskatchewan public schools.
#WeAreSTF
When government refuses to sign funding and accountability agreements of their own making, it's crystal clear they have no intention of helping fix public education.
Tell @PremierScottMoe, @jeremycockrill and @SaskSchoolBoard it's time for accountability: https://t.co/NxcBEFQzR5
Thanks, @trudykeil! We did some marking, too.
If you’ve helped send nearly 400,000 emails (and counting) to government through Tell Them Tuesday, you may have received this new form letter response from @jeremycockrill.
We’re going to need a new red pen.

Having class size and complexity in an agreement ensures accountability from government for adequate funding (no more cuts!). Divisions have assurance and can implement funding as they need, and families and students have assurances about their learning environments.
At a time of dramatic growth (15K+ students since 2016-17!), we're one of two provinces to see a *decline* in per-student funding. Our kids deserve better than this gross @SaskParty mismanagement.
Email @jeremycockrill and tell him enough with the lies. https://t.co/1FtsrTnBIJ
Advocacy may occur in closed meetings; however, if boards remain silent publicly, they become complicit in the misinformation and deception that is being attempted by government.
School boards should not fear retribution for making statements that contradict government positions.
Did you know: Although teachers often provide lunch break supervision, it is done on a voluntary basis. Noon-hour supervision fees may offset, but not fully cover, the expense of providing supervision.

Students, parents and teachers all want the same things: smaller classes, less complexity, more supports.
It's been done in other provinces and is not a novel concept—despite what our government says.

The math is simple: More students with fewer teachers means growing class sizes. Students face long wait times for special supports like speech pathologists. Others are simply falling through the cracks.

Monday's job action will be another provincewide one-day strike. We do not want to be taking these actions. But government isn't taking this process seriously.

Since May, the Moe government has refused to work with us and bargain in good faith. Unless government changes course, teachers will be left with no choice but to take job action.
Help us stop the clock and get government to the table ready to find solutions. 🕑
Parents and teachers want the same thing: a high-quality education that is publicly accessible and has timely access to the supports our children need.
This is what teachers are fighting for. We can’t wait any longer.
The provincial government has refused to address the most urgent challenges in Saskatchewan classrooms, such as class size, complexity and violence. They have left us with no other option. The clock is ticking. 🕔
Today is #BellLetsTalk Day! One of the ways we can all take action is to learn about mental health organizations creating positive change for mental health in Canada…every day.
