3L had a chance to strengthen our Profile of a Ramsey Graduate competencies through an integrated research unit! Ss thought critically, communicated, collaborated, and had a chance to be creative. The best part was sharing our findings with peers. #WeAreTisdale #PORG

3L has moved to the pictorial stage, as Ss grow their understanding of the distributive property of multiplication. Ss demonstrated the different ways they distributed their arrays and shared their thinking with peers. #CPA #WeAreTisdale #criticalthinking

3L is kicking off 2023 by selecting their word of the year! Ss selected a word that represents what they want to prioritize in the new year. We can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for us as learners! #WeAreTisdale #WordoftheYear

As we begin a new unit in math, 3L is working in the concrete and pictorial stage to build their knowledge of perimeter. Ss created shapes with square tiles, drew the shapes on grid paper, and then added up all the sides to solve for the perimeter. #CPA #TeachingForUnderstanding

Ss are hard at work planning for their personal narrative stories! This week, 3L learned a variety of planning tools, such as a double timeline, snapshot sketches, story arc, and more. I cannot wait to see these stories come to life during the drafting stage. 📝#WeAreTisdale

3L has gone through the entire writing process for the first time during our informational unit. After generating ideas, planning, drafting, revising, and editing, we got to celebrate with classmates! Ss loved sharing their published work! #WeAreTisdale #communication

Writers in 3L enjoyed sharing their introductions with classmates! Ss are working hard to grab the reader's attention from the very first sentence. We learned different hook strategies, such as asking a question, telling an interesting fact, and more! #WeAreTisdale #teachershare

Today, 3L completed an activity using cubes to represent a certain number of chairs. Ss made as many different arrangements as they could using their cubes. This activity helped strengthen our understanding of multiplication, arrays, and the Commutative Property! #CPA #GoRamsNJ

It was a special day in 3rd Grade! 3rd Graders got to enjoy the beautiful fall weather by reading outside for "Camp Read-A-Lot" and it was "hour of play" day! #enhancingthestudentlearningexperience

3L loved getting to complete the Profile Project, centered around using our power to create a better world now! Ss researched their causes, created flyers, videos, slides, and more to raise awareness. Some Ss even held a lemonade stand to raise money! #ProfileOfARamseyGraduate

3L has had a busy and fun-filled week so far! Monday, Ss shared their own poems at the Poetry Cafe. Tuesday, 3rd graders headed to Finch Park for the day! Today, Ss played in a kickball game organized by @TisdalePE. We can't wait to see wait else the week has in store for us!
