Another school year has come to an end! Thank you to all of the students, families, colleagues, and friends who made this year what it was. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and restful summer! @johnwanless
Some of the amazing β100β sculptures created out of #LEGO for the 100th anniversary celebration of @johnwanless this Saturday! So much creativity, imagination, and school spirit on display!
The students in Room 115 were so excited to check on our sunflowers this morning! π» We noticed lots of changes since last week and spent time recording our observations in our plant journals. So much learning through watching, wondering, and growing together! @johnwanless
Can you build an AWESOME spinner? Room 115 was busy building spinners with unifix cubes. We tested each one, timed how long they spun using the iPads, and kept track of our results. Lots of trying, changing, and testing as we figured out what made a spinner spin longer. @johnwanless@TDSB_STEM
Inspired by Canadian-Guyanese artist Ekow Nimako, Room 115 students created Lego sculptures using just one colour. Nimako is known for his stunning black Lego sculptures that celebrate African mythology, history, and the future. #AfricanHeritageMonth@tdsb@johnwanless
For #TreatiesRecognitionWeek, Room 115 created our own classroom treaty. We shared ideas about being kind, listening, helping others, and taking care of our classroom. These promises help everyone in our classroom feel safe, happy, and included at school. @johnwanless
Our students practised listening and following steps, strengthened their fine-motor skills with chalk, explored lines and shapes, and used their creativity to design these spooky spider webs! @johnwanless
