One of the things I learned. Thinking about how this would be a fab IDL one day! 🧡
“Egyptian capitals of columns, showing the varied applications of the lotus and papyrus.” The Grammar of Ornament.
@DovForman My sincere condolences - She was such a wonderful person who did so much and had a truly extraordinary life. My heart breaks for your families loss. Her light will go on shining for a very long time 🤍
Fabulous day learning all about the naughty Koptic Christians graffiting all over the temples. If anyone can help decipher most appreciated. My hieroglyphics need work. Something for next years professional learning perhaps?🤔
An outstanding privilege to welcome Holocaust survivor Martin Stern from @AnneFrankTrust to talk about his experiences with Grove learners and members of the community this evening.

Great follow up CPD this weekend with @HolocaustUK. Fabulous sessions on local responses to the Holocaust, experiences in Terezin, and catholic persecution in the ghettos. Also lots of pedagogical discussion on how we teach about current world events. Highly recommend ☺️
@danj_h A letter from my GP - we’ve run out of the medication you need that stops you going into DKA. We are going to wait 3 months and see what happens. If you think you might be dying, please make an appointment. I just can’t 🤦♀️
Shanah Tovah - happy Jewish new year!
79 years ago, my great-grandmother, Lily Ebert, was in Auschwitz-Birkenau on Rosh Hashanah. Today, at 99, she celebrates with 37 great-grandchildren.
We hope that we can all have a sweet new year, full of health and happiness. 🍯🍎🍏
@Israellycool I went to Israel for the first time in August on a training course at Yad Vashem, and it absolutely stole my heart! Gorgeous place and the most lovely people. Can’t wait to go back 💙 🇮🇱
Last day and the day I leave 😞 we went to the dome on the rock , the garden of gethsemane and Mary’s tomb this morning, before enjoying a final last supper (actually breakfast!) I’m going to miss this place immensely but will definitely be back! 🇮🇱 PS try the hummus 🤤
@jcljane@HolocaustUK@yadvashem@yadvashemschool@yadvashemUK It was a truly fabulous afternoon! He was so kind and knowledgeable. It’s technically over now and I keep banging on about this but the best CPD I’ve ever done. Recommending it to everyone I know!
Day 9 - we went to a cheeky morning mass at the holy sepulchre, then a
tour of Tayelet Haas Promenade, the
Jabel Mukaber, and theTolerance Liberty Bell Park bus bombing memorial with fabulous Holocaust educator Jeremy Leigh. Last full day 😩 but a brill one.
Last day 😞 although I leave tomorrow. Went to see the art museums at @yadvashem and found memorials to #sugiharachiune and #janehaining before saying bye to Jenny, Alisdair and Yiftach. The best CPD I have ever done, and I highly recommend ♥️ See you in November in Leicester!
