This is the Maine School and Library Network Status account. MSLN provides internet, email, hosting, etc to almost 1000 schools and libraries across Maine.
At this time we believe service has been restored for all sites affected by the CCI outage this morning. If you are still having issues, please contact Networkmaine for assistance.
CCI identified an issue with a router in their network, and has been working to restore service to affected sites. As of now, we are seeing nearly all sites restored, with only a few remaining. CCI is continuing their restoration work.
CCI has acknowledged a widespread outage within their network, across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. At this time the cause is still under investigation and we have no ETA. Extensive effort is being employed to address the outage however.
We are currently seeing a widespread outage of service to schools and libraries around the state. At this point it appears to be an issue with one of our service providers. We are working to collect more information now and will post updates as available.
The service outage was cleared last night at approximately 9:30pm. The provider reports a failed network card was replaced, and no further outages related to this issue are expected.
The current outage is due to network equipment failure, replacement equipment is en route. We do not have an estimated time yet but will provide updates as we receive them.
There is currently an outage affecting a number of sites in central and western Maine due to a service provider issue in the area. We do not have an ETA on restoration right now but work is under way.
This morning there was a widespread zoom outage due to an issue with a CDN peer. That issue should now be resolved. If you are still having issues please try to reconnect again, and contact us if issues continue.

An issue within Google's network caused an outage of Google services, including Google DNS, for several minutes this morning around 9:10a. Service has been restored since around 9:15a, though effects may have lingered a little longer in some cases.
There was just a brief network outage that impacted many schools and libraries. Cause appears to be a fiber issue. Service is now restored and troubleshooting and repair work is under way. Additional details as available.
A continuing widespread outage with Spectrum is causing ongoing loss of connectivity for some of our schools and libraries. Spectrum is aware and working on the problem, but there is no ETA at this time.
An issue in Mass is causing periodic instability with our out-of-state links. Service fails over to backups, but brief hiccups may be noticed. We have no ETA currently, but if instability persists we will move to backups manually until fully resolved. Updates as available.
