While studying the books of Samuel, I had to repent of delayed or even partial obedience. I’ve learned that Saul was rejected by God because of partial obedience (1 Samuel 15).

Total obedience. Immediate obedience. God is King. Whatever He instructs should be done immediately.

WALK AWAY:

1. After dealing with an inconsistent person for so long, you don't want to lose them, but you WALK AWAY because you don't want to lose IT.

2. If a person disrespects you, no matter how much you love them ,you should not let them dishonor you repeatedly. Know when to WALK AWAY.

3. There are times when maintaining your integrity means holding your tongue, and there are some battles God didn't ordain. Silently WALK AWAY.

4. There is always a time when you have to be courageous enough to WALK AWAY from nonsense. That time is NOW.

5. Instead of allowing an argument to break out... sometimes you have to WALK AWAY, trust God, and just pray about it.

6. Sometimes it's best to WALK AWAY from confrontation & dismiss it. It's better to bow out, than have a blow out. Let it go!

7. There are times when you can't WALK AWAY or just ignore it. Sometimes you have to defend yourself! Pray for wisdom to know when.

8. Real men WALK AWAY from unnecessary conflicts. Cowards run away from all
conflict.

9. If you haven't done everything you can to make it work and you WALK AWAY...it's official... you're a quitter.

10. Some conversations aren't worth your time. Don't talk away, WALK AWAY.

“How can I hear the voice of God?”

Firstly, the voice of God is not primarily something to be heard, but something to be discerned. In this dispensation, God does not lead us through audible voices, but by His Word and the inward witness of the Spirit. When we speak of the voice of God, we are not always referring to a sound, but to the leading of the Lord within us.

The primary way God speaks to believers today is through His Word and through the Holy Spirit. This is why any believer who desires to know the voice of God must be in tune with the Holy Ghost and consistently engage the Scriptures. The more you read the Bible, the more familiar you become with God’s voice. Each time you open the Scriptures and ask the Holy Ghost to teach you, He brings clarity and understanding. That inward illumination you receive is the voice of the Holy Ghost.

Under the old covenant, God often led His people through prophets, priests, kings, and spoke to them through visions, thunderings, and audible voices. But in Jeremiah 31, the Lord spoke concerning the new covenant, saying that He would put His laws within us and write them upon our hearts.

When I began my walk with God, I did not understand what the voice of God was. I thought I did not know how to hear Him. At that time, most of the ways I felt God spoke to me were through dreams, largely because I did not yet understand who the Holy Ghost was. When I was introduced to the Holy Ghost, I began to learn how to be led by Him. The more I fellowshipped with Him, the more familiar His leading became, especially as I began to study my Bible.

The truth is this. You will struggle to know the voice of God if you do not fellowship with Him. You can only know someone through consistent communication. There is no magic to it. If you sow to the Spirit, you will reap from the Spirit. If you feed your spirit, you will be sensitive in the spirit. Do not complain about hearing the voice of God while polluting your spirit.

Whenever someone hurts me and I feel pain in my heart or struggle to let go, I will always ask the Holyspirit to “Fill my heart with love for them” then I pray to love them regardless and it blows my mind how fast my heart heals. There is no pain the Holyspirit cannot help you through, just ask Him 💛
