Congratulations RMHS Migrant/ELD students they won First Place@VCOE regional speech & debate competition, for the last two months these students have been preparing to compete. Also a big thank you to Mrs. Centeno Sanchez for coaching and preparing the team.
@MsCaguirre @MrSorensen805@GoldCoastCUE At my dad’s retirement from VCOE, I had to follow Joe Mendoza’s speech. Not an easy gig, haha. He’s such a masterful storyteller and voice within our community.
@MsVOlliff@OxnardUnion Yay, Verity! I got mine today, too. One step closer to standing side by side with you outside our classroom doors and greeting our kids!
Big congrats RM Senior Edgar Salvador- he earned the State Seal of Biliteracy -he is trilingual (Mixteco, Spanish, English). He scored 5 on the AP Language & Culture exam to earn college credit. He will continue his education at VC next & major in mechanical engineering! WE>me!

Congrats, Patty! I am going to miss this student. She’s an incredibly hard working and kind person. In my ELD class two years ago and nearly every day at lunch, I watched her work diligently and also help her friends with homework. She would be wonderful teacher indeed!
Patricia Altamirano will be attending Oxnard College this Fall! She’ll be the 1st in her family to graduate HS & pursue higher education! She rep’d RMHS in Migrant Speech & Debate & is actively involved in her community as a member of TEQUIO. She aspires to be a Spanish teacher!
