@roxdtvc @TeachMrReed Great response. I couldn’t have said it better. And I’m a procrastinator so I struggle, but even I know I have to meet deadlines. When I don’t, there are consequences, because I know the world isn’t going to wait for me, but many think otherwise.

@TeachMrReed Problem is that, you can’t do that in a real job. Jobs have deadlines. You can lose a major sale & lots of money, & worse you lose credibility as an employee because they can’t count on you. Letting kids turn in work whenever is not a good life skill. Need a good middle ground.

@alenord While I know we would all like to be recognized, I feel that it comes down to popularity sometimes. I’ve known amazing colleagues that taught down the hall from me who built, relationships, held kids accountable, great teachers but they weren’t selected.
