Students in my WINN class are enjoying learning how to paraphrase. We practiced taking quick notes together to make it stick first. Next, we practiced verbal paraphrasing with our notes as a guide.Last, students broke off into groups and presented their own paraphrases and notes!

Thank you so much, Mrs. Long, for celebrating World Read Aloud day with us by reading the book “Pink and Say” to our class! This story takes place during the Civil War. It connected so well with our current novel study: I Survived the Battle of Gettysburg, 1863. #sharonstrong

Huge shout out to game show host @MrsKaraAMerck for helping 4th grade pull off an amazing in house field trip! After learning about budgeting, students had the opportunity to play the Game of Life. Then, they reflected on how the game connects with reality. So fun! #sharonstrong
