@shanateaches If you have them put the number at the beginning of their name, then when you go to assign them, their names will be sorted by number. Makes assigning even faster!
@Mr_Rablin I remember a long time ago second-guessing my use of this term when my middle-schoolers all giggled because it made them think of poop. 🏻♀️
@historysandoval@146reads1@MrsPateHistory We do this too in English at my school. Love it! We use ThingLink to make it interactive with the written parts, though I’m going to try https://t.co/TXmOvLeKMe this year.
"When I see the writing all over the paper, it just sounds like you're saying, 'You're a bad writer,'" one student said. But hearing feedback in a 5-min video felt more encouraging. https://t.co/5hc6ZZwD5h
@Dr_MRavenscroft @MsSteminist Yes, what @MsSteminist said. In English, assessments include tests, projects, presentations, discussions, and compositions, so the students have many different ways to demonstrate their mastery.
Year two of new grading policy:
- 2 categories: practice & assessment
- practice = feedback only, no grades
- No late penalties
I’ve never had higher work completion rates. Ss see purpose in the work, and they want the feedback. No need for the carrot/stick of completion grades.
