We kicked off our MYSTERY POWDERS lab today! We identified the physical properties of each powder as our baseline & added water to start seeing changes!

We kicked off our volume unit by building figures from QUICK IMAGES. We talked about how volume is the amount of space these figures takes up!

Our two day FIZZ LAB showed us all different types of chemical reactions like gas bubbles and temperature change!

We love using Gizmos we wouldn’t be able to see, like H20 particles changing states! We’re investigating how these phases change by applying heat and cooling it down!

When exploring what happens to matter when it dissolves, we conducted a lab to see if we can separate the original substances using a screen! Only one worked, stay tuned for tomorrow when we use filters!
