This is how I wake up my high schoolers for their 8 AM biology class. We played a game. They were elephants competing for resources in Africa. This was a hands-on way to model carrying capacity and limiting factors. 🐘 @MeridianMstangs @FCCPS

We worked on solving a crime in biology using macromolecule indicators in mystery solutions. These guys are pretty great detectives 🕵️ @MeridianMstangs @FCCPS

These guys did a great job collecting data during the catalase lab last week. Now they are working on their 1st formal lab report 🧪 📝

We love lab days 💕 Today, we are testing how the reaction rate of enzymes is affected by changing the pH of the substrate. @FCCPS @MeridianMstangs

On World Food Day, 11th and 12th grade @MeridianMstangs made over 4,000 meals to combat food insecurity locally. The Hand to Hunger student led club started by three 11th gr sts received an IB Global Youth Action Fund to inspire and influence change.

It’s sophomore szn! We had a blast dominating the Sophomorphing Scavenger Hunt. We walked over 10,000 steps, there was only minimal complaining, and I got to spend the day with some of my favorite people 💕 @MeridianMstangs @FCCPS
