@PercyFarai@goodreads Daisy Darker was really good! I also read The Enigma of Room 622 recently which was very different. Lock Every Door by Riley Sager was also good!
8th Grade moving up ceremony. These students have made such an impact on me as a teacher over the last 2 years. I am so grateful to them and proud of them! They are going to do amazing things!
7th grade Field Day! So thankful the weather held out for us! Our amazing PE teachers were so flexible and problem solved all day to make sure we had a safe place to play and run relays.
Today was the day! Students from the Essentials ELA and Leadership classes did a wonderful job of reading to small groups of students at Rockwell. All that practice paid off! @kerrycollinslms@krisfauch
Thank you so much to @kerrycollinslms for letting our middle schoolers come over and read to the second graders for Read Across America week! These kids really knew how to "rock well"! @krisfauch
Last week, we listened to YouTube videos of people reading children's books and jotted down what the readers did well. Today, we practiced those skills by reading in front of the whole class and giving each other "glows" of what they did well. π₯°
More pictures of the students practicing books to read to the Rockwell and Berry students next week! What a wonderful job they did picking a favorite book and reading to a partner! π₯°
In Essentials ELA, we started class by brainstorming words, phrases, people, images, etc that come to mind when we hear these two vocab words/phrases. I was so impressed with how much the class already knew about Black History Month!
The 2024 theme of BHM is black artists!
