Today I got to run the students weekly spelling pretest. They all did a great job listening to the words and I barely had to repeat any words for them at the end compared to last time. #EDU310

I only got to go to my placement once this week just due to my MT leaving for a lil vacation, but it was so much fun seeing the kids! I got to work on a spelling activity with them focusing on the beginning sounds of words and sorting them! #EDU310

I did my first observation yesterday and it went okay! It wasn’t perfect, but it still went pretty good for a science lesson since this was the first hands-on activity they’ve had since Covid. I’ll need to work on pacing for next time more. #EDU310

last week i sadly couldn’t go to my placement due to being out with covid, but I was able to go this morning luckily. We were able to get started on our lesson plan together. The kids are gonna learn about camouflage in science and do an activity with beans! #EDU310

@Miss_ZoeK we use the class dojo lil videos for morning announcements to get their brains going more in the morning and thinking about things. the kids seem to love it

Last Thursday, the students started learning and making booklets on the life of a pumpkin. They worked through the life cycle of a pumpkin and were able to cut and glue pictures to make their own booklets. #EDU310

@Brit_Brit_J Hi Brittney, that sounds like such a good idea for a lot of teachers to follow behind. The kids that way can watch back the videos as many times as they need to make sure they are understanding the directions

Last week, I went to my placement 3 times and it was great each time. Thursdays are definitely my favorite day to go because i’m there during math. The kids are working on addition with 3 digits places, and this week they will be working on reading time!

Today, I met my MT and set up our schedule for the semester. The students went there today, so I was able to explore the building more. I’m looking forward to meeting the students on Wednesday and getting started in the classroom. #EDU310
