I'm back at it again! I am so thrilled to be part of this phenomenal group of educators. I plan to incorporate more @RetroReport videos and activities in my classes!
As an admin, I loved visiting classrooms & watching teachers in action. When I left, I would leave a post it note on their desk telling them how lucky their students were to have them & share something I learned or enjoyed about the visit. I called them
"Post-its of Praise"

As an educator, I often struggle with “differentiate for every child” but “have the same expectations for all” but “adjust your expectations to the child” and “accept that motivators differ” but “it’s your job to motivate every child” and “set boundaries” but “do what it takes.”
Am I the only one that sees a problem with working 8-9 hours a day and then going home to having about 4 hours to yourself which includes getting ready for the next day??? This is not life…
Thank you Kramer Middle School for welcoming me with open arms. We will have an exciting and joyous learning experience with our four new academies launching this upcoming school year. Welcome back to the hive where students thrive. #gamechangers
@AdamAhlgrim I'm a single mom doing a PhD and I get it. PhDs are designed for wealthy single people with no dependents, either children or aged parents (the situation of someone in my cohort). The system is a broken mess that caters only to a particular subset of people. I'm so very sorry.
I am overjoyed to work with people who will push my thinking, hold me accountable, and love me dearly inspite of the noise. This #DunbarSSGreats family I work with everyday feeds my soul. Our last outing of the year was a game-changer. We literally have each others back! ❤️💯🎯
I saw two of my college sweetpeas (former students) today. Year 2 of college is in the books for them & one had a special treat for me. 🎯 🥳 The other 2 pictures are from April 2019 when we went out to lunch. Extremely proud of my loves! Miss them. #Grownish 👊🏾❤️💯
On the last day of #TeacherAppreciationWeek I am elated to provide just a small token of appreciation to my Dunbar Social Studies family! They truly do teach from the heart #EverydayAtDunbar. ❤️🖤
Acting is tough... BUT, teaching is like putting on 6 shows a day, where the audience and PA announcer constantly interrupt you, and the audience has to pass a test at the end to make sure that they were paying attention.🍎🤷🏻♂️
This is the educational equivalent of the film “Don’t Look Up.” There is going to be a teacher exodus, and by then it will be too late. (via @NEAToday)
The world pays more attention to humanitarian crises if the people affected are white, WHO’s head says.
84M people were forcibly displaced last year. Since 2020, about 2M have been displaced in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.
