Had fun building 3D structures today as we finished up our unit on shapes. So rewarding to see the improvement in cooperation and group work skills that has occurred for this class. ⭐️
Division 8 has been engaging in lots of hands on learning as we discover the importance of pollinators and find examples of plant life cycles in our environment. #outdooreducation
Division 8 had a jam packed day on Friday. We performed our Reader’s Theatre scripts to the Kindergarten class and we spend the afternoon appreciating the earth’s beauty as we began our investigation of the Coast Salish Seasonal Round. #EarthDay2022
We’ve had an eventful April so far. Students had so much fun decorating eggs for Easter. Wouldn’t have been possible without a few parent volunteers! It’s been so nice to have parents in the school and involved in the class again. 🐣🐇
Our Norooz party was a hit! We learned about the haft-sin table from Ms. Leila, ate dates and apples, and of course had a dance party that even included a conga line! Overhead a student on their way out to recess saying “that was the best party I’ve ever been to” 🥰
@mirandababbitt Lol beginning a movie at 10 am is a bold choice. You just won’t have a productive afternoon if you start the day with a movie. But I’m jealous too
We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day playing kindness themed games, making scrapbooks out of our cards, and having our class party 💖. Valentine’s Day is such a great time to learn about puns and word play.
It was an exciting week in division 8! The trial of the 3 little pigs versus the wolf took place and ended up becoming a multiple day affair. We also continued to learn about multiple intelligences and created our class brain 🧠 💫
