The BEST 3rd grade Ss created rectangles with given areas. They used what they know about area and structure of rectangles to decide on side lengths and proved their rectangle matched the given area.
Our class wrapped up our social studies unit by creating a business plan for a region in Maryland. They then pitched their idea to “investors”. They all did so well and should be proud of their hard work!
The BEST 3rd grade Ss unpacked our new vision for @BesterWCPS . As a class we unpacked language within the vision and then groups focused on a specific word/phrase to show meaning.
We saw some truly amazing instruction @wcpsmd with @Amplify CKLA. Look at these kids’ reactions to learning of Benedict Arnold’s betrayal! It was a perfectly delivered lesson - and this is just Yr 1 with the curriculum!! @ClassroomWonder
