Another project is here! First full episodes start next week, but search for & subscribe to “Seven Mile Chats” now on @ApplePodcasts and @spotifypodcasts and listen to my intro for this project! I’m so excited to talk Scripture with friends! #catholic#podcast#media#scripture
Today’s teacher costume! Rosie the Riveter 💪💪 Most of the girls could clock the image but thought it was from an advertisement which I guess propaganda is but…🤷♀️needless to say, teaching moments ensued.
Watching the news everyday can be anxiety inducing these days. So I have instated “Feel Good Fridays” this year in Journalism class where students find a positive news story and report on it live for the class every Friday 🤗🎤🙌#teacherlife#medialiteracy
Back to school “get to know my classroom” activity! Students have to find case sensitive answers on a Google form. All questions are about things in my room! Got the idea from @MeehanEDU Definitely beats just going over a syllabus! Happy first day! #teacher#catholicschools 🍎🙏
The new school year has begun! Here are my “stats”:

Happy 4th! I’ve been blessed to visit 47 of our 50 states so far💁♀️ Many of the states I did in my 20s with @netministries. I love the natural and cultural diversity that exists in our country and gives it its beauty. I pray we can embrace that diversity rather than fear it. 🇺🇸🙏
I'm going to be a presenter for some of Liturgy Training Publications' virtual workshops for the upcoming liturgical year. You can register for the Advent and Lent workshops which I will be a part of here: https://t.co/GZkiK5zuDq #catholic#teacher
Took my 6th graders over to the lower campus for a review activity. My students had a list of Bible characters that we had learned about this year. They were paired with an elementary student and together the read a verse, discussed the story/character, drew pictures & did skits!
In Media Literacy talking about apps:
Me: “Who do you think the intended audience for Be Real is?"
Kids: "young people, teens"
Student:” I know a 50 yo who uses it."
Me: "so what message do you think that woman is sending?”
Student:”that she's having a midlife crisis" 😂🤣
Hunger Banquet lesson after talking about Catholic Social Teachings! Students get different colored tickets and served different types of snacks that represent the distribution of wealth in our world. Every year, students react differently…always an important lesson!
Wordle 1,044 2/6

Students reviewing for upcoming test with the #clothespinchallenge! They wrote review questions in teams yesterday and are quizzing each other today. If someone asks you a question and you get it wrong, you take that person’s clothespin! Team with most wins! @MeehanEDU
It was our annual Martyr Madness tournament today. Students had to research an early church martyr and present to their classmates why their Saint was the best. We voted on the presentations and saints advanced to the next “level”. Sebastian won in 2 classes and Cornelius won 1.
