Calling all Animal Lovers!! After reading “Measuring Penny” 2nd grade was ready for a “Paw-riffic Party”! We brought our stuffed animal friends of all shapes and sizes and spent the day exploring measurement with our furry friends!!

After reading Crickwing, by Janell Cannon, 2nd grade had fun learning all about the artist Andy Goldsworthy, who like Crickwing loved to create masterpieces from nature! It inspired us to go outside and try it ourselves!! We had so much fun!!

Rock explosions, concrete, and roads..Oh my!!! Stakes’ Smarties LOVED Career Day!! Thank you to Mr Sobczak for a fabulous presentation! We enjoyed every minute of it! We even got to explore fresh samples of limestone and sand!! @HumbleISD_WCE

2nd Grade had fun this week exploring magnets! We became treasure hunters searching for magnetic treasures! Then we designed our own city maps and vehicles using magnets to guide the cars through the city!!@HumbleISD_WCE @HumbleISD_WCE

Stakes’ Smarties enjoyed Flashlight Friday! We built a device that solves the problem of communicating over a distance using light and color! We also enjoyed flashlight reading and a visit from Buddy!! 😊@HumbleISD_WCE
