Celebrated #ConstitutionDay2024 Day with my 5th graders today by discussing what it means to be a citizen and together they brainstormed ideas to show good citizenship in their school and community. @KEDC_HERO#civics
Our first inquiry of the year has been focused on the impacts of geography. It is always exciting to see how happy my students get when I give them these KY maps given to me by KYTC each year. Thank you Kentucky Transportation Cabinet! @KEDC_HERO#geography#kentucky#inquiry
Whew! What a start to the school year. Super excited to see growth this year, in myself, and my students. Hoping to gain new knowledge and experiences through all of the exciting opportunities that @KEDC_HERO offers us! Let’s do this!
To celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day tomorrow, I challenged my students to write a note to a friend or family remember to make their day brighter. I wasn’t expecting to get a handful of notes myself, but it made me so happy that I did. 🩷💜#PositivityProject24@KEDC_HERO
Learning about the Continental Army through inquiry today with some replica artifacts from the. American Revolution Institute. I paired it with some object based learning strategies from a @KEDC_HERO session! It was a great day full of engaged learning!
As part of the #positivityproject2024 with @KEDC_HERO, we have delegated our 6th grade kiddos to share quotes of affirmation on the morning announcements for all to hear. A small but mighty way to encourage positivity in our school building! ❤️🖤
Although Valentines Day is the most overstimulating day of the year for this teacher, I am going to sleep tonight feeling blessed to experience the LOVE from all 74 of my students. There is nothing better than the hugs, laughter, and glimmers that we share. ❤️ @KEDC_HERO
Another great day of learning inquiry strategies with @JKirchner10 at @KEDC1! I always leave her sessions feeling ready and inspired to create engaging social studies lessons for my students!
Creating Valentine's cards for patients @StJude is a wonderful project for students to engage in informed action & civic participation. This project not only fosters empathy & compassion but teaches the importance of spreading love & kindness https://t.co/1Z1AdqoxpW
Todays @KEDC_HERO session on Object Based Learning was fantastic! I’m so excited to implement the new strategies and resources into my social studies classroom!
