Take out a HELOC>buy BTC with the proceeds>Pay Interest only for 10 years.
Congrats, that’s about as close as the average family can come to replicating @Strategy Prefs.
Do you think you’ll come out ahead?
@earthling11027@Strategy@PeterSchiff He is one dumb (and hateful) MFer but since he’s been calling for zero for a decade, I don’t think he believes it’s going to succeed.
@ol1223@scottmelker Only people who think Bitcoin is going to fail ask that question.
And those people shouldn’t be and aren’t investing in Strategy or any other DAT.
Just like you shouldn’t invest in NVDA if you think we’re going back to the stone age.
If you had a $500k house with a $60k mortgage and took out a $100k 10% interest only HELOC to buy Bitcoin. Selling a portion of the BTC as needed to pay the interest do you think you’d be ahead in 10 years?
@tdenton1138@dmweisberger@grok Nice try Tad, but the simple fact that Elon Musk took government money destroys the OPs position.
Either the government spending was highly efficient and therefore Musk should be paying an exorbitant amount of taxes.
Or not and Musk is just a welfare queen.
If Bitcoin CAGR doesn’t outpace inflation, it has functionally failed.
If it does @saylor@phongle can pay the @Strategy Pref dividends forever AND MSTR outpaces BTC CAGR via leverage, accretion, and capital markets execution.
The bet is simple: Bitcoin works, or nothing does.
@_Do_Gooders@saylor@phongle@Strategy I mostly see Bitcoin as a commodity. But commodities can act as currency.
The fact that Bitcoin is primarily held as a scarce asset doesn’t mean it can’t function as a currency. It already can.
People confuse “not commonly used for daily payments” with “not a currency.”
@Z06Z07@saylor@phongle Or just continue to sell $200M a week strategically, pay the dividends and wait the BTC slump out.
The stack and liquidity are the moat. Eventually it will demand mNAV premium of 4,5,6 plus.
