A sad and reflective last stop on this years Great War Battlefield visit to Essex Farm Cemetery. Amongst those here is a 15 year old boy who lied about his age.
A sad read but necessary. Costal children are most likely to have the poorest health outcomes, access to infrastructure, poorest mental health and exposure to adults with poor mental health and also lowest academic attainment levels.

3. My Year 7s and 8s have been doing some feedback lessons for recent assessments and genuinely been engaged in how to improve and what to do better next time!
A while since I’ve posted so highlights from this week…
1. A pupil watched the new Mission Impossible where the DEFCON level was increased from 5 straight to 1. They were outraged and wanted to tell me that if Cuba wasn’t DEFCON 1 then there’s no way it would be!
@EHP89 @BrentPoland1 @TTRadioOfficial who gave me my first platform to speak publicly on topics I care about and constantly provide free and relevant CPD
I’ve just submitted my first article to the @histassoc for peer review. I’m fully expecting critical feedback and welcome suggestions! The article I’ve submitted is aimed at early career teachers who are tasked at building schemes of work without proper guidance.
@EHP89 @BrentPoland1 who boldly discussed the need to change the history curriculum to be more relevant to the diverse student population we teach at a Teacher Talk event I went to
Notepad out, brew made, still in my pjs… but the TT History online session has begun and I’m excited to learn different approaches to teaching disciplinary concepts! @TTRHistory@TTRadioOfficial
