Back to a third round of fact checking. This time I will be addressing myths regarding Syrian refugees in the U.S. (info reported from https://t.co/MDbznMOZHx) #MSW52102#RefugeeAdvocacy
Myth: Muslims Syrian refugees are somehow more terrorist like than Christian Syrian refugees so, the U.S should allow more Christians
Fact: 96% of refugees admitted (btw 2011-15) were Muslim, yet no terrorist activity has occurred from this population. Religion doesnβt matter
Under Tr*mpβs administration, refugee admission has undoubtedly reached a record low. Just 20 years ago more then 75k refugees were admitted, in 2019 less than 25k were admitted. #MSW52102#RegufeeAdvocacy
Tr*mpβs executive orders increased screening/vetting process requirements and demanded that the various government entities gather info regarding acts of violence committed by those granted entry into the U.S. #MSW52102#RefugeeAdvocacy
Itβs unfortunate to think about the many refugee lives that will be affected by this pandemic. If you have the privilege to, be socially distant!#StopTheSpread#MSW52102#RefugeeHealth
