The Ontario government's #COVID19 playbook:
1. Tell people to stay home when so many can't
2. Ignore experts including their own Science Table
3. Fail to accept criticism & quickly learn from mistakes
The Ontario government must end this ineptitude and act today.
Again, Michigan has almost double the vaccination level Canada does, above even the US and Child numbers, and is still getting destroyed by a third wave, because nobody can just vaccinate themselves out of a third wave without public health measures.
@ottleyjam@bill_smith33@SherrylP29@ONT_Dad The point is, no one is bashing health care workers, grocery store clerks, doctors, long term care staff, PSWs, or any profession other than teachers.
Thank you to all our front line healthcare workers. https://t.co/WSvSeHOcm7
Your continued dedication and commitment to the health and well-being of Ontarians and Canadians is heroic. We all need to support your efforts by following COVID 19 protocols and making good decisions.
@kimmyggm@CTVNews@fordnation@JustinTrudeau The truth is, the sooner we get this pandemic under control, the faster the economy can recover. That is the order of cause and effect that must be followed. Otherwise, we will be stuck in this rollercoaster of lock-downs and re-openings, which poses greater risk to businesses.
Here's a question posed to Ontario public health officials after they gave a modelling update.
"Am I missing something here, or is this presentation predicting a disaster?"
The response?
"I don't think you're missing anything."
@LiaGyore @Melanie4kids Honestly, I don't think teachers had the chance to learn this. They were too busy holding the system up with their bare hands, money from their own pockets, sacrificing their own mental health as well as the health and wellbeing of their own families to serve others.
@MyNamei32028357@ONT_Dad Actually, they would not be jobless. Please educate yourself on how our political system works. MPPs are voted in by constituents. One can leave their party and keep their job. See case of @ASimardL who was PC but chose integrity and to serve ON unlike @fordnation lackeys.
@DarrenHiebert1@ONT_Dad@UCPcutsKill Grocers limit the # of ppl permitted in the store at any one time. Workers can maintain greater social distance from customers than teachers can. Grocers are behind plexiglass when they have prolonged contact with customers. Interactions btwn grocers and customers is short.
@nearlydone2021 @ONT_Dad By giving high class caps for the online classes in elementary, and having classes with multiple grades, boards are trying to squeeze as much as they can out of the funding so that classes in higher risk areas can meet low class caps.
@nearlydone2021 @ONT_Dad There is not enough funding to adequately reduce class sizes elsewhere. In fact, there's hardly enough to reduce class sizes in just the hot spot areas.
