@DaniDarkSkies Yes. Insect numbers are definitely down. Hatchings are late but insectivores have already started producing their young...the emergence of insects would normally correspond to rearing of young birds and mammals. It's all out of kilter. Climate change is the driver of this
David Attenborough says climate change is the biggest threat humanity has ever faced.
And it wasn’t even mentioned once on the #bbcDebate?? What the hell is wrong with you @bbc@bbcnews ????
We've never been anywhere near this level of support during a general election campaign
Voters are responding to our message of Real Hope and Real Change
Every vote for @TheGreenParty keeps the pressure on for action on climate and nature and investment in our public services
Thanks to all involved for organising such a positive and enjoyable event. Very encouraging to see such strong levels of local community engagement and support.
The solution to to this is simple. If you are fed up of Starmer parachuting in his mates into Cymru, Then it’s time to #TurnGreen#GwyrddEichByd 💚
Unlike the other parties @WalesGreenParty is a grassroots democracy. Our candidates are chosen by local party members alone🏴
@as_penarth@BBCWalesNews@WalesGreenParty So looking forward to being on a husting with the Reform chap on 17th June in Rhosneigr , although it will only go ahead if he accepts and we wait...
What is the basis for @TheGreenParty foreign policy? It's pretty clear:
- human rights
- protection of civilians
- international law
That's why we have the positions we do, whether on #Ukraine, #Gaza or #HongKong. We're not driven by bias or prejudice, believe in consistent application of those rules and reject double standards.
Whether the UN Security Council, the ICC or ICJ, international bodies have affirmed our positions on major conflicts, to end war and prosecute war cimes, including Gaza and Ukraine. We called out war crimes in Gaza long before others (and when Starmer was approving the deliberate starvation of Palestinians, while the government continues to supply weapons, rendering them complicit in those crimes).
Other parties claim to stand for a 'rules-based order' while actively undermining it by turning a blind eye to war crimes in Gaza. The rest of the world notices these double standards. That hypocrisy damages solidarity with Ukraine, for instance, and weakens global rules elsewhere.
If you want a principled foreign policy, the choice is clear.
It's clear that we're going to get a Labour government
But with Starmer backtracking on climate action and workers rights, and supporting further privatisation of NHS, it's vital that we have Green MPs in Parliament
