The MTA is proposing a new 125 Street Subway, which would extend west from the future 125 St/Lexington Av Q station. The project would connect existing subway linesβincluding the Second Avenue Subwayβand bus routes along the corridor.
Learn more about this project at a public scoping meeting; we're hosting two virtual sessions on October 22, and one in-person session on October 27. Register for a session and get all the details: https://t.co/bjRcaEpZ0D
Big investments arenβt always the ones you see.
The MTAβs 2025β2029 Capital Plan was named 2026 Project of the Year at the Regional Plan Associationβs Celebrate the Tri-State gala.
From replacing aging signals to repairing tracks, structures and power systems, the plan invests in the essential work that makes reliable service possibleβand will keep the region moving for decades to come.

More leaves. More trains.
Fall foliage season is in full swing. Metro-North carried 170,401 riders last Saturday, so the railroad is adding even more Leaf Peeper trains to get you to the Hudson Valley.
Starting tomorrow, 12 additional trains will run each weekend through Nov. 8 between Grand Central and Beacon.

Right here at the Bryant Park station, the @MTA is building the first elevator funded by congestion pricing.
Business is up, traffic is down.
Now weβre putting billions to work on transit upgrades that will improve the rides of millions.
Thanks to funds from congestion pricing, we've begun construction on accessibility upgrades at the 42 St-Bryant Park/5 Av station complex!
New elevators, platforms upgrades, an accessible passageway between 42 St-Bryant Park (B/D/F/M) and 5 Av station (7), and more will benefit over 100,000 daily riders.
Two buses and a train to get downtown.
That was the trip for our Chief Accessibility Officer Quemuel Arroyo before 137 St-City College became accessible.
Now? An elevator and the 1.
Two new elevators have made his home station fully accessible, giving more Uptown riders a direct connection to downtown.
