On the eve of football transfer portal opening I just want to send out some reminders to students planning on going in:
1) There is no such thing as a medical redshirt, it’s called a medical hardship waiver and you apply for it at your new school with supporting documentation from your trainer.
2) Please get a readable copy of your unofficial transcript in PDF form to send to schools, you will also need a transcript from every school you attended.
3) Meet with your academic advisor to see where you are (PTD) progress towards degree wise in order to make sure you are open to the maximum amount of offers. Some schools can only take a limited amount of classes if you haven’t graduated.
4) Ask your compliance office how many years you ACTUALLY have left. Please don’t guesstimate.
5) How you leave is important please make sure you are respectful and curteous to the place you are leaving regardless of your reasons, you are in a favored position to choose your own journey don’t take it for granted! :)
