Big improvements are coming to Montana State Prison as construction continues on the new low-side housing units. The efforts are part of a larger infrastructure investment by the state to build additional bedspace and bring corrections into the future. #MTCorrections

For the past three weeks, #MTCorrections hosted correctional officers at MSP for the department's first Correction/Detention Officer Basic Class. The 160-hour course, which is usually offered at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, was presented by the DOC for the first time.
