As a former Muslim, here's a thought that completely wrecked me:

If Jesus walked into many mosques today and said exactly what He says in the Gospels, most
Muslims wouldn't call Him "just a prophet."

They would reject His claims outright. Think about it.

"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)

"No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

"Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58) After the resurrection, He receives worship instead of correcting it.

Those are not the claims of an ordinary prophet. And that's what forced me to wrestle with the real issue.

For years I tried to fit Jesus into the Islamic category of "great prophet."

I told myself the Bible must be corrupted. I told myself Christians misunderstood Him.
I told myself He never really claimed what Christians say He claimed.

Then I actually read the Gospels.
And I realized Jesus doesn't speak like any prophet before Him.

He doesn't merely point to the way. He presents Himself as the way.

The question that changed my life wasn't, "What do Muslims say about Jesus?"
It was: "What did Jesus say about Himself?"

Because if He really said those things, then every person has to make a choice.
Either He was wrong. Or He was exactly who He claimed to be.

And that's a question none of us can avoid forever.

When I was Muslim, my strongest weapon was: “God is ONE. How can Jesus be God? That’s three gods.”

I thought it was checkmate. Tawhid versus Trinity. Game over.

But here’s what nobody told me.

Christians don’t believe in three gods.

They’d reject that as fast as I would. The Bible says it louder than the Quran: “Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.” Deuteronomy 6:4.

Jesus Himself quoted that verse as the greatest command. Mark 12:29.

And then the rest of scripture…

The Lord God WALKING in the Garden with Adam and Eve. Abraham meeting God in Human form.

It’s always been so consistent that God was interacting with us in human form. The details.

The Trinity was never three gods. It’s one God who is so far above me that His oneness isn’t as flat as my math.

I was a created thing demanding the Creator fit inside my categories.

I was accusing Christians of worshiping three gods while not even understanding the one thing they actually said.

I wasn’t refuting Christianity.

I was refuting a cartoon of it I built so I wouldn’t have to deal with the real thing.

I did not want to write these words.

I have never wanted to write these words about the man who ended Qasem Soleimani and spoke of peace through strength with lethal clarity.

But the hesitation now unfolding…the pauses, the postponed strikes, the surreal floated meetings with a new Supreme Leader while the theocratic death cult regroups and the nuclear threshold creeps closer…has created a wound in the coalition that silence would only deepen into rot.

Introduction

This spares nothing. Not a fucking thing. Congress is beyond fixable.

The 535 who sit in Congress are not representatives.

They are a parasitic class that has colonized the machinery Washington bled to create and turned it into a feeding trough for donors, foreign interests, and their own perpetual power.

This is not policy failure.

It is institutional pathology…a legislative body that no longer fears the people it claims to serve and has therefore become the enemy of the republic it was meant to protect.

Washington would have recognized the pattern immediately.

He hanged spies and shot mutineers because he understood that internal betrayal is more lethal than any foreign army.

Jefferson named the remedy in plain language…the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.

The current Congress has made its choice.

It has chosen to become the tyrant.

Every last one of them must go. Root and branch.

There is no reform left that can save what they have already sold.

The only question is whether the American people still possess the spine to do what the founders would have done when the forms of government became the instrument of its own destruction.

@ericmetaxas I am from Indiana. Mike Pence went to my church and I voted for him and supported him all the way up through governorship. I won't waste the money to buy his book. I even heard his Christian testimony so I do not know what happened. What pressures what restrictions motivated him.
