After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

Giorgia Meloni non ha capito niente. Il suo post è vergognoso, è soltanto un modo basso e volgare di raccogliere voti su una tragedia con un linguaggio totalmente sbagliato e fuori luogo per radicalizzare gli italiani: "Non ci faremo intimidire". Kirk non è stato ucciso da un antifascista. Kirk è stato ucciso da un fenomeno culturale, che non è né di destra né di sinistra, è soltanto americano. È un fenomeno che nasce e sgorga dalla cultura della violenza che plasma un'intera società e di cui Trump, tra le altre cose, è la massima espressione narrativa. L'orrenda uccisione di Kirk conferma la mia tesi: l'Italia è un Paese meraviglioso, anche perché le armi non sono diffuse tra i civili. Rimaniamo italiani, rimaniamo umani. Che i nostri giovani rimangano disarmati. A voler imitare gli Stati Uniti a tutti i costi come un popolo colonizzato senza identità si finisce per armare i genocidi. Si finisce per vendere armi a Netanyahu ed essere suoi complici.
Viva l'Italia.
Rimaniamo quel che siamo.
Ragioniamo.
