@nixonelectrical I did a couple of years ago. Not sure if it had anything to do with western power removing overhead lines above the property where they agreed to bury the supplies.
@IanJFincher@ajhackwood I ( unofficiallly) had to help one of their installers to change a meter, as the guy hardly knew what he was doing. I didn't laugh at him, BH it just thought it was irresponsible of his employer to send him out unprepared.
@SimonTilbury3@ArtElectrics I was just commenting on this , I think the last MCB is not RCD protected, supplied via Flexi tail from top of left hand RCD. .....it's not April fools day yet, is it🤣?
@ArtElectrics It's hard to see what is going on, but is the last MCB 32amp being fed from the tail coming out of the top of the RCD, so it's not actually RCD protected?
@ArtElectrics The neutral configuration doesn't look right? Surely the first neutral bar to the right should be for circuits off the main switch, but this is being used for the first RCD, then the 2nd and 3rd neutral bars are being used for the RCD to the left??
@switchlec@Brother_UK Had this problem a couple of times, until a mate mentioned about rotating the small cartridge wheel to remove any slack before using.
@nixonelectrical I had a cheap one off Amazon about £30, which left a sharp tag. I then had one from Citys which although was £90, it's always done the job perfect
@ElecLozz@Monty_Electrics@nixonelectrical@officialNICEIC Every metal switch in this house not earthed, sockets the cpc has been taken to the ko box and then a link to the socket earth terminal, only done in the last couple of years.
@edmondcurrent@Andrew33080654@contactelectri3 Totally agree, never get clear IR readings on an EICR, maybe shower and cooker radials, but not often on lighting and sockets. Also not seen a tester that tests at 299volts either😂 and are all of the circuits really reference method A???
