Yeah because states had autonomy, state constitutions required a declaration of faith.

I have Protestant friends who I may disagree with on certain things but I know they are true believers in Christ, that’s good enough for me.

The point is we are *gifted* sovereignty by God, our rights from him. You can try to warp what the spirit of the nation was founded on, you’ll find that we’ll be destroyed for that.

An appeal to heaven is a revolutionary war flag as an appeal to God, for there is no earthly recourse to fix these problems.
