At the Sustainable Agricultural System and Policies Project Strategy Workshop in Abuja today, I expressed gratitude to the German government and GIZ for their support for Nigeria's agricultural system and food transformation.
We recognize the importance of collaboration in achieving a sustainable agricultural system, and as such, we appreciate GIZ's involvement in various aspects of Nigeria's economy.
In my address, I stressed that sustainable agriculture is not solely about funding but also about acquiring knowledge, as it is a scientific process that can be enhanced through partnerships with experienced organizations like GIZ. I also encouraged participants to actively engage in the event and interact to gain more insights and opportunities for cooperation.
We look forward to more collaboration to foster economic growth and development in Nigeria.

On the 20th of December 2023, i was invited to partake as a Special Guest and Keynote Speaker at the ongoing High-Level Ministerial Meeting in Madrid, hosted by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Union. This presents a valuable platform to delve into the intricate landscape of Nigeria's economic evolution, intricacies, and potential, particularly in the context of fostering initiatives for job creation.
As Nigeria navigates the complex terrain of demographic dividends and abundant natural resources, the discourse promises to shed light on the strategic measures being taken to address challenges and pave the way for sustainable growth. The event is a testament to the critical role transformative internal and external investments play in unleashing the nation's full potential and, significantly, in generating employment opportunities for its burgeoning youth—a demographic powerhouse shaping the future of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The agenda is thoughtfully structured into two sessions: the first day is dedicated to high-level political dialogue and the second focuses on engagements with the private sector and civil society. Given my portfolio and role within the Nigerian Government, I anticipate contributing meaningfully to any of the three panels during the political sessions.
It is an honour to conclude the year with this collaborative European-African dialogue, adding a touch of Spain and Nigeria to the global conversation. I'm also looking forward to engaging in insightful discussions, fostering partnerships, and representing Nigeria on this esteemed international stage.
