@sans_qwerty Also the ps5 will be discontinued soon if it follows normal console cycles but the steam machine will last at least 2-3 console generations. I haven't upgraded my pc in nearly 10 years.

Though I don't know how old you mean I've played system shock 2 and railroad tycoon 2 from the 90s with no issues.

He means games that worked for like 2 weeks like Apex Legends until they flipped the switch to boot the Linux players. There's also EasyAntiCheat but the dev has to enable Linux support (should be easy but idk)

@CaptainCatamite @blaxico @MeltingSnowBro @RevengeofCave Dude Linux stutters way less than the average windows install and most games that come out broken like Elden ring get fixed on Linux faster than on windows. Also I don't know a single DRM that does not work on Linux. Maybe you meant anticheat.

@_whiteeye0_ Es ist eben für alle die Zugriff auf alle alten und kommenden spiele haben wollen statt nach 4-5 Jahren alle spiele invalidiert werden.

Wenn dann noch kein Abo für Online und günstigere Spiele drauf kommen kann sich das bereits nach 3 oder so Jahren rechnen.
