🐐 If today truly marks the final match of Neymar's international career, football says goodbye to one of the most gifted talents the game has ever seen.
No World Cup trophy. A career many believe could have reached even greater heights. But a player whose magic inspired millions and earned the admiration of the biggest legends in football.
Obrigado, Neymar. 🇧🇷💛
Happy birthday to Bruno Fernandes.
When Sporting’s training ground was attacked by ultras in May 2018, most senior players tore up their contracts and left, plunging the club into a severe financial crisis. Academy stars like Rui Patrício, William Carvalho, Rafael Leão, Gelson Martins, and others all walked away on free transfers, or at least tried to.
Bruno chose to stay. He delivered a 49 G/A season, and his eventual €65m transfer to Manchester United was one of the key reasons Sporting survived. Since then, Sporting have won 3 league titles and are now one of Portugal’s healthiest clubs.
A fantastic footballer, and an even better human. He deserves all the best, and to win the Premier League with @ManUtd.
Parabéns, Bruno 💚
Sir Alex Ferguson is in a league of his own and it’s truly laughable to suggest that anyone, especially Guardiola is capable of challenging his legacy.
