I can’t focus. That video hasn’t left my mind all day.
That boy saw death coming and kept begging, pleading with someone who is meant to protect him to spare his life.
The officer wasn’t even in uniform. He picked up a rifle and still went through with it. There were moments to stop (the rifle didn't work after multiple trials), to rethink, to choose differently… but he didn’t.
It’s beyond cruel. Insanity!
Terrible. Terrible people.
Also everyone should learn to incorporate giving personal items to the the women in their lives as opposed to household items. You want to gift your dad, you gave him shoes. You want to gift your mum, you gave her oven. That’s totally unfair.
So what have they done now??
After over 8 hours, what has the police done??? The governor??? Commissioner for women affairs ????
What has been done???????
Sometimes I sit with the reality of how unkind this world is to women, and it breaks my heart.
It is one thing for the world to fail women.
It is another thing entirely for people to organise cruelty against women and give it a cultural name.
That is barbarity!
That is evil!
I don’t even want context or an explanation about what the culture is. If the punishment for being outside when you’re not meant to or breaking a rule is sexual assault, may you all burn in hell
The amount of men in those videos is sickening. If rape culture can bring out a such a huge crowd, just imagine what they are doing behind closed doors.
I can’t get the image of that old woman running for her life out of my head; everyone too terrified to help because they’re trying to save themselves too.
Even though she knows death is near, nobody wants to go out in such a tragic, senseless way. It was a horrible sight… and the worst part is that it’s happening right beside you & I.

The Ochanya case remains one of the clearest, most documented rape cases Nigeria has ever seen, with vivid evidence, confessions, medical reports, and witnesses.
Yet it’s barely trending on twitter. Not because there is no evidence, but because one of the family members who raped and killed Ochanya is a Twitter influencer, a friend to many others with loud voices and large followers.
And so they’ve chosen silence. The same people who tweet passionately about justice, feminism, and humanity, suddenly mute, because the accused family has a member who is one of their own.
It’s painful to watch how clout buries conscience in this generation. How people who should amplify the truth are busy protecting evil for the sake of friendship and network.
The Ochanya case should have been a lesson, a movement, a moment of awakening. Instead, it has become a mirror showing how comfortable we’ve become with injustice, how quickly we forget the victims when the abuser has influence.
But make no mistake, silence does not erase guilt. And no amount of silence from some of you twitter influencers can wash away what was done to that little girl.
We that care will keep speaking her name: Ochanya Ogbanje—until justice is no longer a privilege for the powerful,
but a right for every child who was failed by this nation💔
And to the influencers who has kept quite over this case because of the relationship you have with @Winifunds who’s a daughter and sister to rapists and murderers of Ochanya, posterity will judge you all.
Frame 1&2. The victim.
Frame 3&4. The family that murdered the victim, the parent and sibling of @Winifunds
