🇮🇷Iran: Betrayed Pakistan Again🇵🇰

A moment of silence for those in #Pakistan who were accusing the country of not supporting Iran in this war despite Pakistan being among the very few nations to openly stand by Iran.

Yet #Iran has once again disappointed Pakistan by referring to Kashmir as part of India.

This is not the first time Ali Khamenei’s leadership has undermined Pakistan. Over the years, Iran has repeatedly signaled alignment with India whether through granting #India 🇮🇳 access to Chabahar Port, conducting airstrikes inside Pakistani territory or consistently taking positions on Kashmir that contradict Pakistan’s stance.

Moreover, Pakistan also faced international pressure and sanctions due to allegations that its nuclear scientists had provided technology to Irandespite the fact that these actions were never state policy.

Even more concerning is the potential fallout if instability grips Iran’s leadership. The spillover ranging from sectarian tensions to illicit financial flows could seriously impact Pakistan.

Early warning signs have already been visible, including incidents in Karachi where Iran linked sectarian militant groups have been involved in violent activities, including attacks targeting the #US Embassy.🇺🇸

Pakistan must therefore remain vigilant and act strictly in accordance with its national interests in dealing with Iran.

Dear Dr sb, I understand your concern but the facts are as below: 

- Diesel prices announced on 1 March 2026 were based on Platts fortnightly average of USD 88/ barrel; 6 March 2026 Platts is USD 149+/ barrel.
- Petrol prices announced on 1 March 2026 were based on Platts fortnightly average of USD 78/ barrel; 6 March 2026 Platts is USD 106+/ barrel.
- Yanbu voyage time is approx 20 days. Refineries must have confidence that expensive crude that they purchase today will not manifest itself in shape of another form of circular debt. 
-  Energy conservation remains a key driver of policy in these uncertain times & fair, timely price transmission is an integral part of it.
- In times of high volatility, marking to market of mandatory stocks promptly discourages hoarding / excessive buying. Inventory gains & inventory losses both are part & parcel of business operations. Govt should let markets work freely with only a light touch of regulation.
- Given various threats posed to our external account by Iran conflict, we should be mindful of not unnecessarily playing with markets & repeat pushing the country to default as we did in 2022. 

I assure you the Govt of Prime Minister @CMShehbaz continues to tread the responsible path. We understand the pain this oil shock is causing to the common man but we should not risk the hard won macroeconomic stability nor disruption in supplies; Inshallah once the international prices recede I assure you the benefit will be returned. I remain available for any suggestions you might have in steering this crisis, which has no end date, forward. However, I humbly suggest indecision is not an option. Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad

- Dropping Babar Azam from ODIs ahead of a World Cup makes no sense.

- A player with 20 ODI centuries doesn’t get sidelined without solid reasoning.

- And if you’re moving on from him, then why drop Saim Ayub too ?
- An average of 46 is not a failure it’s consistency.

- On what basis are Salman Ali Agha, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi automatic picks .

- And what performances earned spots for Hussain Talat , Ghazi and Maaz Sadaqat ?

- Selection should be about merit, performance, and long-term planning not confusion and mixed signals..

- Right now, it feels less like strategy and more like uncertainty.
