Calling this project a “Jewish settlement” is a blatant distortion of facts and a disgraceful attempt to exploit religious sentiments for political gain.
The Maldivian people’s unwavering support for Palestine is not a political weapon to be used to spread fear, hatred and misinformation.
Just because this investment did not materialise under your presidency does not give you the right to demonise it today. National development must never become hostage to personal political bitterness.
Criticise policies all you want, but stop manufacturing religious divisions and misleading the public for political relevance. The Maldives deserves responsible leadership, not reckless fearmongering.
In 2015, they changed the Constitution to allow foreigners to own our land. In 2017, they were ready to develop an entire atoll with foreign investors. But now Eagle Hills is a problem?
Our Constitution doesn't allow non-Muslims to become Maldivian citizens, and President @MMuizzu 's government has already banned entry on Israeli passports.
Eagle Hills is a leasehold project, not a sale of our land.
We all stand with Palestine. But dragging the Palestinian cause into domestic politics with baseless allegations just to scare investors away is unacceptable. Political rivalry shouldn't come at the expense of our country's future.

On International #DayOfTheGirl, we celebrate the strength, ambition, and endless potential of girls in the Maldives and around the world. Girls are leaders, innovators, and changemakers whose voices, talents, and leadership contributes extensively to stronger and more resilient societies.
When girls are empowered, they do not solely transform their own lives, they carry the future of our nation. The Maldives has witnessed the remarkable contributions of girls and young women in education, public service, entrepreneurship, sports, and community leadership.
Their invaluable contributions and achievements are extensively shaping stronger and enduring nations.
Pleased to speak with Senator @MIshaqDar50, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, today.
Continuing the momentum of our meeting in New York in September, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening the enduring friendship and warm ties between the Maldives–Pakistan.

This International #DayOfTheGirl, we join the international community in reaffirming our commitment to advancing and protecting the rights of girls around the globe.
Our administration is committed to advancing policies and creating opportunities that empower girls and young women to realise their full potential, equip them to become future leaders, and enable them to contribute meaningfully to national development in a safe and supportive environment.
Such aspirations require a whole-of-society approach, beginning with families and communities and extending to all relevant stakeholders. Investing in our daughters today is an investment in a more equitable, inclusive, and prosperous future for all.
On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we reaffirm our commitment to building a compassionate, accessible and equitable mental health system, guided by the voices and lived experiences of those it serves, and tailored to the needs of our people.
We are advancing this commitment through the Mental Health Strategic Action Plan 2025–2029, while working on policy and legislative reforms that include formulating a National Mental Health Policy and a comprehensive Mental Health Act. We are also improving access by integrating mental health into primary healthcare, strengthening regional and specialist services, and enhancing tele-mental health and crisis response systems.
Our aim is to prioritise prevention and early intervention, ensure quality healthcare is within reach, and build a kinder and caring Maldives, one island, one community, and one honest conversation at a time.
