@Thinkingschool2 Would love to. But it seems whichever elected government are voted in, education is an afterthought. Lots of promises, very little delivered. Then teachers are made scapegoats. Record numbers leaving, and inadequate recruitment speaks for itself, surely.

@bphillipsonMP No, you're not. National Average PA figures are around 24% and rising. Not sufficient external support for schools to engage non-attendance. No enough incentive for all young people to attend on a sufficiently regular basis. A media narrative which places the blame on schools.

The Labour government have removed the winter fuel allowance from millions of pensioners, put thousands of family farmers into enormous jeopardy with inheritance tax and compulsory purchase land grabs, hit small businesses with national insurance increases, increased university tuition fees for students, betrayed WASPI women, broken promises on energy bills and council tax and are now planning to cut welfare for severely disabled people.

But meanwhile, they are rewarding carbon capture companies with £22bn taxpayer funded investment and £3bn a year to Ukraine.

Quite possibly the most warped sense of priorities ever displayed by a government.
