This is called recentralizing after decentralizing. The very reason our forests are under joint management of the state and registered community groups is because of the abuse & mismanagement of forests by previous state regimes. We can’t allow ourselves to go back there. Shame on Kenya Forest Service & anyone supporting militarized take over of public resources. We know you are eyeing the revenues that are coming from the forest and grabbing the land for personal gain of some “big”people, forgetting where we have come from. Stop the drama and act in the interest of the communities, nature and climate! It’s 2025 not 1997!
