@tfn_kathleen@UlsterUni@fosteringnet@gregg_nikki@NickyKells1 This annual @UlsterUni Fostering Aspiration Summer School at our Coleraine campus has real impact ensuring young people explore pathways to HE and experience life as a student. Thanks to the young people, our care experienced students and both staff teams. Another amazing year 🎉
Finally, University of the Year 2024: @UlsterUni claims the top #THEAwards prize. Judges were impressed with Ulster’s progress in research, particularly in medical technology and quantum computing, in teaching, student experience & graduate outcomes, as well as helping fostering peace and prosperity. Congratulations!🕊️
Today as we launched our annual statistics listen to one women’s story of how she escaped from her perpetrator to a place of safety like over 800 women and children in the last year who needed to stay in a Women’s Aid refuge #16DaysOfActivism2024
#Sailortown would really appreciate if people would do this short survey on:

Members of our team attended Parentline’s launch of their new Parentline Pathways Go To Guide - a fab resource for parents, carers & practitioners. Parents, foster carers & kinship carers called in too. The coffee & treats were great! Digital copies available too.
@ChildreninNI
We would also love #youngpeople 16+ to come to the launch. Insights from our work are about your education and relationships! If you are working with any YP/ students and want to bring along a group, please get in touch or sign up via the link 👇
Happy Birthday VOYPIC 🎉
31 years ago today, a group of young people in care, and the adults that supported them, came together to talk about how children with experience of care could be better supported. From that meeting, VOYPIC was born.
At our Heritage Day, you will get a chance to learn about and have a go at, a number of crafts and traditional skills inc Rag-Rug making, lace making, weaving and spinning, wood carving, coppersmithing, embroidery, to name a few.
Come along on 1st Sept, 12 - 5pm, and have a go!
Just wanted to say big thank you to @emeldajane2 and BBC for taking time to cover the care experienced young people taking @ulsteruni short course on developmental trauma. The multiple challenges they face need recognition and acknowledgement, and this will help in that regard.
We’re delighted to be working with @DomMcSherry1 and friends in @UlsterUni on this great project, providing input to the course, and mentoring support for the participants throughout.
Brilliant experience for us all.
