The primaries show many conservatives are frustrated w/ Republicans in Congress.  I share that frustration.  But as we move from the primaries to the general election, don’t forget this basic truth — American politics is a binary choice.  If you reject the Republicans, you will get the Democrats.  So our focus shouldn’t entirely be on Republicans (which your instincts may tell you are not worth saving); your focus should be on the Republic (which most definitely is worth saving).  And the greatest threat to the Republic today is the Democrat Party.  In past years, the Democrats had some non-crazy members who served as internal brakes when they were in the majority, tempering their very worst instincts.  That will not be the case if they ever achieve a trifecta again.  I, for one, do not wish to be ruled by Mamdani’s “warmth of collectivism” or KBJ’s “feelings.”  As frustrating as they are, the Republicans are the only alternative.  Vote accordingly.
