@humantransit And the time penalty will only apply to the passengers connecting to the B line or going to the Hollywood Bowl Station. I see the K line as more of a local line with the future Sepulveda line providing more of an express/direct line to the SFV.
@humantransit I think it’s more acceptable in this case because the stations between the D and B lines will have a tremendous amount of origins and destinations passengers, similar to a CBD. This hybrid alignment reaches many of the employment and leisure destinations in the area.
Four years after winning over $100M in state funding, we are now poised to give it back because we can’t figure out how to deliver the projects in a reasonable amount of time.
ATP is the largest source of active transpo funding in CA
Why would they ever give LA any more money?
@streetsforall Damn, I expected better from @YsabelJuradoLA with the SFA endorsement. The Skid Row Safety & Connectivity Project would been transformational in the one of the most neglected parts of Downtown.
Fare enforcement is one of the things I’ve completely changed my mind on. I used to take the compassionate stance and think it doesn’t hurt to give someone down on their luck a pass.
But this is further proof that it’s more a small minority of people with deeply antisocial behaviour.
We can’t let our public spaces devolve such that the average person doesn’t want to use them.
Taking @metrolosangeles to LAX to catch a flight!
One suggestion though… adjust the K/C line schedules so that the K line doesn’t depart exactly at the same time the E is scheduled to arrive. The wait for the K Line is longer than the ride itself which is scheduled for 17 min!
wild that LA had an opportunity during new apt construction to create very large pedestrian paths or linear park in Warner Center - imagine if this temp closed off roadway was turned into that instead of the real plan (same road/sidewalk width + dedicate 8 ft for landscaping :/)
🇫🇷🚡 Paris just opened its first urban gondola line (C1)! ➡️ 5 stations, connected to the metro and BRT ➡️ 4.5 km (the longest in Europe) ➡️ 18-minute ride from end to end
💰€138M
As usual for Paris, super sleek design—stations, towers, and cabins—perfect urban integration.
I wanted to compare what I saw on Seattle's Line 1 LRT with Toronto's Finch LRT.
In Seattle, you can see left turning cars waiting while fast-moving transit gets priority. Help @ttcriders make it happen in Toronto: https://t.co/JefUjNwC9g

@YsabelJuradoLA@EunissesH Corporate powers also want to keep car dependency for Angelenos. LA needs more multimodal transportation alternatives and fewer cars on the road. Let’s have improved buses, sidewalks, bike lanes, and a gondola to make Dodger stadium more accessible.
@calwatch Alhambra is now wrapping up a transit study and is proposing to realign the Blue line to Hellman. Unfortunately, there’s a couple NIMBYs that may derail that plan: https://t.co/NJRGaNGJPj
