@Patrick_Nevan@PlasticCraicAOS Definitely worth exploring if one likes the monster mash playstyle in my opinion. Drop count is an issue (especially in a post Priority Target nerf world), but CP management is so easy with the 'thirsters!
Does anyone happen have the old warscrolls for the Numinous Occulum and Ophidian Archway terrain? Or know where they were published in writing?
I'd like to write updated rules for them for Narrative play, but can't seem to find them.
@SMcCowan3 As long as the whole army is built around faction terrain, I will literally never play them out of principle. Which is a shame, as Treelords are pretty cool, but alas.
If you're a TO and you organize Warhammer events, be sure to fill out this form!
If you get approved, not only will you get access to all the rules that come out after you join in, if you send 'em an email they'll give you codes for previous releases as well!
@RealmOfPlastic Awful news, but completely understandable. Thank you for your name generators, they have helped create so many great characters and planets/cities to fight over!
@Jabber_AoS Interestingly, it's making me want to build armies with actual troops in them to be part of some weird 'counter-culture.' I think I should just start playing Old World though, that would probably scratch that itch.
@Jabber_AoS I'm conflicted about it. On the one hand, it's a shame that this previously core aspect of the hobby is now gone. On the other hand, it's sweet I can just put 4-6 monsters on the table and be like 'A-yupp, dass a legal army it isss.'
@Troggmeta@goonhammer I know it's controversial, but I never liked using the Loonshrine with my troggs for thematic reasons anyway. Kinda happy to see it excluded from the Truggherd.
@Sallymander40k@AelvenPainter Oh, I was just reacting to Worlds news, but as I wasn't there I'm unfamiliar with all the details.
When I play at tournaments, I tend to be closer to last than top 3, so takebacks happen all the time and are absolutely a-okay.
@AelvenPainter It's so good that when we opened our local club we pretty much copied the 3rd ed player's code wholesale and have built an amazing community with that attitude. Something got lost in the transition to high level play, it seems.
