Constantly learning. My work focuses on evolutionary processes that generate or maintain genetic variation and their impact on phenotypes and biodiversity.
@MartaKosEU@avucic LRAD 450XL used by the Serbian government, on its people during a 15 minutes silence for victims of the train station tragedy. Shameful.
Beograd, subota 15. mart 2025.
Desno - skup studenata i građana
@nexta_tv My wife was in the crowd. It definitely was something very loud, but not only. It was was felt in the whole body as well. I cannot imagine what damage people close to the source might have. Protests are continuing in front of the hospital, demanding transparency. Pumpaj!
Our paper on the evolutionary ecology of two spruce bark beetles is out now!
Thanks to all co-authors: @GregoryRagland4, Christian Stauffer, Axel Schopf and Peter Biedermann!

Have you ever wondered what mechanisms allow viruses to adapt to mutagenic drugs? 🦠💊 If so, take a look at the work done by @claudia_bank, Mark and Ana published in @FrontVirology 👉 https://t.co/ao1oVDctEl. If not, then read it anyway, it's very interesting! 😁
@KamilSJaron @darwintreelife@sangerinstitute hey @KamilSJaron ! I m late on the news, but congratulations ! 🍾🎈🎉 well deserved, and looking forward to learning more about strange reproductive systems.
Join my lab for a really cool PhD project! Population genetics and genomics of the perennial plant Arabis alpina to understand biogeography and adaptation to harsh high-latitude environments! Come for a PhD in a vibrant consortium that bridges ecology and plant genetics!
Sigrid Netherer @BOKUvienna succeeded in providing the first evidence that drought-stressed spruce trees are particularly attractive to bark beetles. She released the tiny animals onto the trees in the university's open-air laboratory. https://t.co/aeSGxFiMLC #climate
Masson & Lemaitre explain why few insect endosymbionts are culturable in vitro and genetically tractable. They describe recent progress in manipulating intracellular endosymbiont species, leading to amazing discoveries https://t.co/56345iuBTK @ASMicrobiology#MMBRJournal
Happy to share my first co-author paper published today in @CurrentBiology : Paternal transmission of the Wolbachia CidB toxin underlies cytoplasmic incompatibility !
