デル・トロ監督からの勧めで、Apple TVの「ウィドウズ・ベイ」を観始めた。超絶な面白さにやめられず、9話まで一気観！ニューイングランドの海岸から40マイル離れた呪われた”島町“を舞台にしたヒロ・ムライ制作総指揮のホラー・コメディ。濃霧や嵐、様々な怪奇現象が町を襲う。ホラー要素てんこ盛り。惜しげもなく、登場する。キングやホラー・ファンには堪らないはずだ。テンポもよく、ホラーとユーモアのバランスが絶妙。皮肉なことに、観光客を取り込もうと粉骨砕身する町長の姿が、「ジョーズ」のアミティ市長と重なる。村人たちのキャラも「ツイン・ピークス」ばりで個性的。ここまで惹きつけられるドラマは、久しぶり。来週の最終回、水曜日が待ち遠しい。

「Mr & Mrs. スミス」の新作ドラマの1話をまず観てみた。これは面白い！ブラピとアンジェリーナ・ジョリーの映画版とはまた違うシュチエーションで斬新。お互いがエージェントだと知らずに結婚したふたり(ジョンとジェーン)が2005年版。今回は、とある組織に偽装結婚で引き合わされたふたり(ジョンとジェーン)がミッションに巻き込まれていくという筋書き。この名もなき二人(ジョン・ドゥとジェーン・ドゥ)のキャラクター、キャスティングがいい。豪華スターもカメオ出演。これは当たりっぽい。続けてみる。
